The Raven Trail Gets A New Lease On Life!
A new spirit of cooperation has arrived at the Raven Trail, located between Lake Tomahawk and Woodruff. This beautiful area on some of the nicest lakes in the Northwoods has come very closing to being closed to cyclists on at least two occasions in its history. Now thanks to new attitudes in the DNR and involvement with IMBA, this trail system has sprouted miles of new single track with official blessings and the potential of many more on the way.
Although this trail map is no longer current (new map coming soon), this will show you where the Raven Trail is. Raven Map
Mountain bikers will no longer travel on the most contentious portions of the double track, which were the sections near the parking lot. This is where bikers and hikers would cross paths, creating controversy. PLEASE - from the parking lot, enter the new trails on the southern edge of the parking lot (furthest from the parking lot entrance). There is a single track and a double track trail - look for the short bridge that marks the beginning of the new double track.
